Over the past few years, the technology sector has experienced a large number of layoffs. When Seattle, WA prioritized large corporations like Amazon over other industries, the Pacific Northwest, along with Silicon Valley, felt the impact of these job cuts.

To get an idea of the numbers, I asked Google Gemini, “How many layoffs have companies like Facebook, Microsoft, and others had since 2022?” The response was:
